Munster's House Replica

Munster's House Replica

These folks got to build their dream house and they loved The Munsters' tv show, so they naturally followed the theme. If you have to have a house, it might as well be fun. They get to park their hearse in the driveway.

The formal portrait,(before it was stained)

It was featured in the Home Section of The Oregonian, and the photos hung at McCoy Stair company.

The photo they gave me and said, "This is what we want."

A few years later with stain, cob webs and vines growing over the door with the new phone booth.

A detail of the octagonal newel posts with cheap plastic gargoyles.

A detail of the segmented curves and bent railings.

A detail of the treads, balusters, caps, and segmented bends.

In the tv show, Herman Munster had a phone booth which rolled out from the wall so he could make calls on his old 2 piece phone.

This is my version of their phone booth.

Another view of the phone booth.

Some of the other fun stuff.

The chair is supposedly an antique electric chair.

The ceiling in this room was 20 ft. high
